Chris has been an accountant since 1998 and had nine years as a partner in an accounting firm before founding C.T. Harris & Company in July, 2010. He has been a qualified financial planner since 2002, when he started advising clients of Harris Financial Planning, a business he continues to run today.
During his time in the profession, Chris has assisted clients overcome many challenges and has gained personal experience in small business, agribusiness, property development, family business, and a wide range of investments.
Chris' personal experiences in a range of businesses have led him to recognise the importance of:
constantly being aware of your financial position and knowing what you are trying to achieve
planning for future liabilities such as income tax, supplier payments, lease and finance commitments
creating a business plan which maps how you will increase your customer base and grow your income
ensuring that your business is conducted in an ethical and professional manner.
Chris works with clients to make sure they understand these important aspects to allow them to make informed business decisions.
